A Date with Louise delos Reyes

Beautiful, sweet, warm and random -- these are the words that best describe my first impressions on young actress Louise delos Reyes. It was a privilege to be one invited at the bloggers event organized to be close and personal with Kapuso actress Louise. We were gathered at Nail Spa, SM The Block North Edsa where we bonded over a manicure.

To be honest, I arrived late on the event (because as always, I came from work) and to my surprise, I heard that Louise arrived on time.  I commend her for being professional and punctual on her appointments (which is rare on celebrities).

If you think you have seen her on screen, well you probably did. Louise starred  on the series One True Love. She is partnered with Alden Richards which made them one of the most loved romantic duos on screen. Elize Samonte was the role Louise starred in One True Love which made the turning point of her career. This was the point of her transformation from playing sweet roles to a more matured one. The loveteam of Louise and Alden was because of the success of their on-screen chemistry  on the series, My Beloved, making One True Love a hit that it had a re-run on October last year.

Aside from One True Love Louise also appeared on Alakdana. She earned a best new movie actress nomination on her role on Agaton and Mindy by Peque Gallaga. Louise is one of the tween hearts, starred at Pilyang Kerubin and had roles  on Spooky Nights and Maynila.

Having that conversation with Louise was heartwarming.It was one of those rare occasions where I was comfortably close with a celebrity. I was so impressed on how friendly she was to bloggers and entertained a number of our conversation. I was so impressed with her background -- Louise came from a simple family. They still have to travel abroad (which is one of her goals) and is spending time together as much as they can. She is the breadwinner of the family and is very close with her mom. Another notable trait of Louise is her dedication to her studies. She managed to stay in school and graduate despite her busy and hectic schedule at work.

"I only compete with myself." This is what Louise answered to me when I asked her on how she feels towards the tight competition in the showbiz industry. She told us that she would rather improve herself and be a more well rounded artist -- an artist who can sing, dance, act and be more flexible and ready on whatever role is available for her in the industry.

Louise told us about her personal life -- some funny stories about her and her family, her stay in Cavite, their resourcefulness (Louise's mom told us that they buy accessories on Divisoria), her favorite songs and singers and many more. Being with her was so fun and relaxing that I feel so happy that was able to talk to her like a normal person.

Another good thing that happened on that event was bonding with fellow bloggers Anne and Nika. The service on Nail Spa was so impressive, I had to go back to their spa soon.

It was a wonderful chance to be with a humble actress Louise delos Reyes. She is sweet, fun, lovely, accomodating, random (which she loves tellling about herselff), bipolar. She is as normal as us,which made me more I fell in love with her even more.
